CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

We have a full-time position available in our clinical department for a Certified Medical Assistant.

This is a hands-on position supporting our providers by providing excellent, compassionate care to our in-office patients. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills; accurate, and efficient documenting in electronic medical records is a vital part of this position. A Medical Assistant Certification valid in the state of Oregon is preferred but not required.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a Care Team that requires reliability, strong, organizational skills, and flexibility. CODER

We are seeking a full-time Coder to join our billing team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of medical coding experience, strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Duties include but are not limited:

Responsible for all coding & billing of office, hospital, surgery and delivery services

• Timely posting of all services provided by providers, assign procedure and diagnosis codes for insurance billing.

• Review claims data to ensure that assigned codes meet required legal and insurance rules and that required signatures and authorizations are in place prior to submission.

• Ensure all services are captured and charged. Use document/visit tracking reports and implement charge capture tools as necessary.

• Assign codes for surgeries pending scheduling

• Follow-up on claim denial due to coding issues/bundling – conduct medical records research and correspond with insurance companies and healthcare professionals to resolve issue.

• Ensures comprehensive knowledge of Practice’s policies and procedures for coding staff.

• Recommend improvements of workflows/policies/procedures that strengthen and/or streamline coding processes.

• Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure the most efficient workflows are in place.

WOMEN’S HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Women’s Health Center is looking for a licensed full time NP/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join us. Our team of five physicians and four advanced practice providers are recognized for their extraordinary, compassionate patient care in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Summary

  • Cares for both OB and GYN patients
  • Full time position, 4 days a week, practice hours 7:30am – 5:30pm
  • Provides prenatal care but does not participate in deliveries

 

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining an accurate medical, obstetrical, and gynecological history of each patient
  • Demonstrating the ability to provide health assessment, diagnosis and treatment by performing appropriate physical examinations
  • Demonstrating the ability to select medications appropriately and in accordance state and federal laws
  • Demonstrating the ability to act in the best interest of the patient by providing information to make informed decisions in their care
  • Under the supervision of an OB/GYN physician, managing the care of women during their pregnancy (no delivery responsibility)
  • Demonstrating the knowledge and skill to thoroughly complete patient EMR charting daily with appropriate diagnosis and treatment codes
  • Demonstrating the ability to understand the unique needs of the patient in providing care in the OB/GYN setting
  • Demonstrating clinical judgment in providing care by consulting/referring to a specialist or PCP as appropriate
  • Consults with and obtains orders from an OB/GYN for any special prenatal care

 

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited WHNP or PA program
  • Possess or obtain a current Oregon Nurse Practitioner-Women’s Health or PA license
  • Possess a DEA certificate
  • 1 – 2 years + OB/GYN experience preferred; will consider new graduate

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical records, technical procedures, and related regulations
  • Ability to document all patient activity and technical information
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, co-workers and outside health care providers
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Possess excellent communication skills 
  • Supportive of the mission and goals of The Women’s Health Center
