I was born and raised on the East Coast but made the leap to the West for the opportunity to become the first female OB/GYN in Grants Pass 22 years ago! I was the first college-educated person in my family and didn’t really know what it meant to be a physician growing up. My decision to become a doctor came to me in college when I realized pursuing a life of purpose could only mean something in medicine, for me.

Once exposed to all of the specialties in medical school, OB/GYN was far and above my favorite. It is the perfect combination of surgery and medicine…nurturing women throughout their lifetimes. I get to experience life-changing events, miracles even! Everything from birth to menopause and all that is in between! There is preventative care and taking care of immediate problems. I love not only being my patient’s trusted doctor but also their trusted friend and confidant.

I have 3 beautiful boys who are the greatest joy in my life. Being a single mother and raising 3 boys is not easy and I empathize with the challenges many of my patients face on a daily basis. I am an avid exerciser and try to instill good habits in my boys and patients by modeling them myself. I like to run, hike, lie on a beach, and explore new places…Most of all, I appreciate the small moments throughout the day when I can really be present for my patients, job, and family.

I look forward to many more years as a clinician and provider at Women’s Health Center…continuing to evolve in a practice that allows each woman to achieve her best self!
