Lauren describes herself as an educator as much as she does a health care provider. During her experience as a physician assistant in a primary health setting, Lauren found herself gravitating toward gynecologic health. She found that many patients were getting misinformation or no information at all surrounding their vaginal, menstrual, reproductive health, and menopausal changes. Working at Women’s Health Center in Ashland gives her the opportunity to treat her patients and share with them accurate information, answer their questions, and help each patient find solutions that work for them!
Lauren’s interests include a wide variety of gynecologic services, including:
- Family planning
- Contraception, including IUD and Nexplanon
- pre-conception counseling
- LGBTQ+ care
- Preventative care
- Abnormal menstrual bleeding
- Heavy/painful bleeding
- Irregular menses
- Post menopausal bleeding
- Urinary incontinence
Lauren works four days a week in the Ashland office and assists Dr. Eagan in surgery at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. She loves that she is often able to see patients same day so she can immediately address questions and concerns.
Lauren received her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 and relocated to Oregon in 2020 where she began her career in primary care prior to joining Women’s Health Center. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors by gardening, hiking, camping, and especially visiting National Parks.
“I was a new patient with the office and Lauren and her team were wonderful. They took the time to sit and go over everything in my medical file and to ask many questions and spend time going over any concerns and history. I would highly recommend this office in Ashland.” – Google Review
