Cosmetic Procedures Available at WHCOSO!
Women's Health Center of Southern Oregon has always been the place to go for women's health care. Now, we have expanded our services and are offering physician-administered cosmetic procedures and a line of prescription-only skin care products.
Dr. Marlene Covey, who is an OB/GYN physician at Women's Health Center, also specializes in skin care. She will evaluate your skin, consider your personal goals and advise you on a treatment plan. She administers Botox® injections as well as the skin filler, Radiesse®, which are both effective in temporarily eliminating facial lines and wrinkles.
"It is sometimes easy for people to forget that these are medical products and not cosmetics", says Dr. Covey. "When deciding on a skin care specialist, people need to do their homework, especially when it involves injectables and fillers. My advice is to make sure your skin care specialist is a board certified professional."
In addition, Dr. Covey is the exclusive distributor in Southern Oregon for ZO® Skin Health, formulated by Dr. Zein Obagi. "This is a fantastic line of products that supports daily skin health for women of any age", says Covey. "I have personally used Dr. Obagi's products for over 10 years and would never use anything else on my face. Many of his products are prescription strength, with a higher level of effective ingredients than products purchased at a store. My patients notice an almost immediate change in their skin."
Rates for these procedures at Women's Health Center are comparable, or in some cases, less expensive than at a spa or salon. For more information or a downloadable cosmetic brochure, click here.
